HF RX Active Switch

The EME215 Active receive antenna switch is ideal for use with the Mini-Kits Active whip and loop antenna amplifiers when used with a HF Transceiver that only has a single antenna socket. This then allows automatic switching from the receive only to the main antenna when going from RX to TX mode. The Active RX only antenna can also be switched out manually to the main antenna if required using the power on/off toggle switch. The design incorporates a bias tee to power the RX Active amplifier via the coaxial cable, and includes protection for the RX Active by using a high isolation Relay that deactivates if no power is present. In case the PTT connection has been disconnected but the RX Active switch is powered up, then a further safeguard protection using a RF detector automatically switches the relay from RX to TX mode deactivating the relay protecting the RX Active. The board is fitted with PTC protection to safeguard against any short circuits on the RX Active connection, and uses a Transorb for over voltage and reverse polarity protection. EME215-KIT is the complete Kit that includes the PC board, instructions, all on board components, enclosure, hardware. Requires complete construction, and soldering of some SMD components.

Connector Option RX Active is the RF connector that connects to the Active Receive antenna. This option must be selected and is not optional.

Connector Option RADIO is the RF connector that goes to the Radio Transceiver. This option must be selected and is not optional.

Connector Option ANTENNA is the RF connector that goes to the main HF Antenna that is used for Transmitting. This option must be selected and is not optional.

The connectors must be selected when ordering either the Kit or built product, and are available in BNC, N, and F types.

All Kits are built Products include a 2.1mm DC power cable
