The M1 DDS Controller is a complete logic and DDS controller suitable for Transceiver or Receiver projects, and has been specifically designed to suit the Mini-Kits M1 Transceiver Project. The Micro-controller uses the M1-DDS software that emulates the functions of the Yaesu FT817 Transceiver, and along with the optional EME187 logic interface board, provides most of the logic functions including receive and transmit power outputs for the various circuitry that is commonly used in a Transceiver. A mechanical rotary encoder and 4x4 Keypad are used to control most of the functions, and an optional USB to serial adaptor can be used for connection to a computer, which allows Ham Radio Deluxe software to be used to control the functions.
The DDS determines the maximum output frequency that can be produced, not the software, and the software supports the 10 bit AD9850/51 or 12 bit AD9954 DDS chips. M1-DDS KIT2 is a Basic Kit that includes the EME198 LCD interface KIT, EME189 Encoder KIT, EME190 PIC Controller Kit, EME198 LCD Interface Kit, 1x Metre Ribbon Cable, Pre-programmed with the M1-DDS Software. Requires complete construction, and soldering of some SMD components.
EME187 KIT M1 Logic Interface KIT to suit expansion of the EME190 controller to provide all logic output functions for the M1 Transceiver.

The LCD Module, Keypad, Control Knob, EME187 Logic Interface Kit, FT232RL, Optical Encoder, and DDS Kits are all optional and not included with the basic M1-DDS KIT. The difference between the M1-DDS KIT 1 and KIT2 is the LCD Interface Kit. Select KIT2 for use with the Large character LCD6 module, and KIT1 for standard pin out modules.
