Direct Digital Synthesizer Experimenters Kit using an Analogue Devices 14 bit 400MHz AD9951 DDS chip, which is suitable as an accurate signal generator, or as a VFO for a RX or TX project. A bi-directional translator chip is used to interface the DDS chip with the IDC header connector for 5v logic. The various connections on the header allows the board to be used with many micro controller projects found on the WEB, including the Mini-Kits M1-DDS Controller Kit using the M1-DDS software. The DDS output uses a 175MHz 7th order elliptic L.P.F. and GALI-84 amplifier for clean +10dBm output. For low noise, the PC Board uses plated through holes and separate analogue and digital ground planes, and power supplies.
The Product image shows a fully constructed EME165-R2-M Module product. Please refer to the Options Tab for the descriptions of the various products available.
Please Note: Built products usually need to be constructed and can take up to 2 weeks to ship depending on work load, but are normally shipped in few days.
Basic Kits are only suitable for those that want to use their own Micro-controller and hardware. For a complete Micro-controller solution to use with this DDS board, please see the complete M1-DDS Controller Kit
For the highest performance and reliability, this Kit uses a Genuine Analogue Devices AD9951YSVZ chip and high quality onboard components direct from suppliers in the USA.
EME165-R2-51 KIT is the Basic Kit that includes the PC board, Instructions, all on board components, and a female SMA. Requires complete construction and soldering of SMD components.
EME165-R2-51 KITS is the Basic EME165 KIT1 but has the AD9951 DDS and TXB0108PWR chips pre-soldered to the board. Requires complete construction and soldering of SMD components.
EME165-R2-51-M is a fully constructed and tested Module with female SMA. Due to the high workload, this product is not currently available.
EME165-PCB Only includes the PC board and Kit construction notes. No on board components are included.
Kits and built products Do Not include miscellaneous hardware, or enclosures. Please Note: That no micro-controller or Software support is included with these products.
The AD9951/54 DDS is Highly recommended for high performance receivers due to the low spur level of the 14 bit D-A
