The Mini-Kits EME208 Transmit Modulator Kit is part of a building block to construct a high performance M1 Series HF Transceiver, but can also be used for various Radio projects requiring a transmit modulator for Amplitude Modulation( AM ), Double Sideband ( DSB ), and Continuous Wave ( CW ).  The design is based around the MC1496 balanced modulator that produces low inter modulation distortion, and has good carrier suppression. 

It is recommended that the EME205 BFO Demodulator Kit is used as the Modulator requires a suitable 9MHz BFO Oscillator.  For more detailed information on how this module Kit can be used, Please refer to the EME208 Kit webpage.

This Kit is ideal for all constructors mainly due to the use of conventional leaded components.  Only a very small number of surface mount components have been used due to component availability.  The basic Kit includes the PC board and all onboard components, but excludes the SMA connectors which can be purchased separately if required.
